    We just got it put together and was surprised to find out there is no back to it... so, if you are not planning to put it up against the wall, it's a problem. We had planned to use the back of the bed as the fourth wall to create a room. They need to include that in the description.

    These beds are great. Our kids love them and so do my husband and I. We bought these beds to save space - we have boy/girl twins who have very small rooms. These beds are perfect, they give us lots of functionality in very tight quarters. They are sturdy and were very easy to put together. We were missing a few screws but it was nothing we couldn't handle with spares from other items we've assembled in the past.

    My 5 year old son loves this bed. He is not scared to be up high (it's not too high) and the rails on the side are very safe and keep him from falling off. I read him books in the evening and often doze off in the bed and the rails can hold all 150 lbs of me leaning on them and the ladder has no trouble supporting me (no shaking). I think the desk pull-out is a little flimsy compared to how sturdy the rest of the unit is, but I wouldn't let that stop you from buying it.
