This headboard was exactly what we were looking for. The wood color was precisely as shown on the picture and matched our existing bedroom set, allowing us to move up to a king size bed without having to buy a whole new set. There was a small crack in the wood where a hole was drilled for connection to the bed frame. The crack was mended before shipment. We were still able use the headboard, since the crack was in a concealed area. We love the regal look it presents in our bedroom. The headboard was solid wood (no veneer), and very well made.
