Hi, Love the front seat verses the usual back loader; the only way to take a toddler anywhere, better for the kid and much better for your center of gravity! I did alot of comparing with bikes and length between the seat and handle bar stem. I had a 19.5 inch mens hybrid bike and now i have a 17.5 inch girls bike hybrid and the seat fits nicely on both, the key is that you have room to squeeze yourself between the back of the baby seat and the front of your seat when standing at a light. Also make sure your stem is longer than 4 inches to fit the hardware. my husband said it was really hard to get the hardware from swinging round sideways and although it's still not perfectly tight; it supports my kid and stay straight while riding so now worries. I first had the other front loading "green" seat (my all time fav) but my bike was stolen so.. bought this to "upgrade" thinking it would last longer...now thinking the "green" one would have been better for me. I had also thought that now my baby is a toddler at 26 months she could handle the upright seat. My daughter is only 23 lbs so i know i have a ways to go before the 33 bs limit. BUT i am not pleased that she was already in the lowest rung of the foot holder; she is 32 inches tall. Was hoping to get a good year out of this, not so sure now.. but we'll see. My husband said this was harder to get on tight after our first experience with the "green" front load seat- says i'm not allowed to mention it? MY second disappointment...the straps are too far apart for my daughter shoulders. She can actually slip them off easily so i am constantly re- positioning them as i ride- i just need to drill new holes closer together at top of seat or rig something else- which i will do! She is skinny and long so this may not not be a problem for others- although even when she is wearing a heavy coat it they slip off the sides. ALL in all the concept is great.. i go everywhere and couldn't live with out it; gets me out of the house and she comes along on my exercise- we talk and point to things the whole ride. i would still recommend this seat, although i would recommend the other "green colored seat" you can find online more. happy riding!
