If you're going for a "Zen-like" theme, get this bed. I wasn't expecting great quality for the price, but it turns out that it's a solid bed and looks great. It looks better with a low profile mattress (10-11"). [...] I assembled myself within 90 mins. Just read the instructions carefully and use a cordless drill. Added 1/4" plywood for additional support on slats that were included.

I just received my bed [...]. I live up four flights of stairs and was worried that the package would be extremely heavy. But it wasn't. Two people can easily carry the three seperate boxes easily (hopefully it won't be up four flights of stairs). Assembly was easy...use a power drill if you have one and make sure you get the footboard squared away before you screw in everything else.

This bed is great. It's easy to assemble, very good quality, looks fantastic and for some reason that I can't explain, it's SUPER COMFORTABLE. We love it so much we went back and purchased the matching dressers, mirror and nightstands.
