Loved the bed and it was farely easy to put together (about 2 hours with 2 people). My daughter loves it and it is quite the space saver for a small room. Instructions were pretty clear for the most part but just didn't show how to put latches on ladder or what screws to use to put on some brackets for the shelving in the back. It came with 4 "Letter B" bolts (which is what they wanted to send according to the complete list of parts) however it required to 6 "letter B" bolts. It was a bit of a hastle to get these extra 2 bolts. The customer support was nice and helpful, however they didn't have any instructions or manuals at thier disposal to help so they would have to refer everything to their warehouse people. This is where things were difficult. They took 3 days to get back in touch with me and they sent the wrong bolts anyway. So I needed them to send them again. The bed itself is wonderful and sturdier than I even expected. When ordering just make sure they send/request that they send 6 "Letter B" bolts.

This bed is for our 8 yr daughter. She helped put it together. Room size is 9' x 10' and this setup provides the largest floor space and desktop space for my size room and floor plan. The birch wood is very soft and will dent very easily, so be extremely careful handling, just bumping boards together will leave impressions. The quality construction of the drawer cabinets is low. On assembly, one drawer was forced over the roller rail and I had to remove the other drawers to remove the one drawer rail to get it back onto the track. Some of the rail rollers are bent, and the drawers do not sit square within the cabinet. I purchased on sale. [@].The directions aren't the best so take a few minutes to review the sheet, yes "sheet", there is only one sheet/ picture with all the pieces and hardware. The long screw/ retainers go thru the bedposts, the short screw/ retainers go to set up the shelf system, and the 4 each medium screw/ retainers are for the desktop. The drywall screws are to hold the mattress slats in place, I suggest you pre-drill with a #40 bit, Ace hardware, Lowe's, etc. approx. 1/2 to 3/4" deep (mark your bit with mask tape) to prevent splitting the bed rail. Do the same with all other screws, except watch your depth on the shorter ones. The assembly took most of an afternoon. And as long as you take your time and be gentle with the wood, it will come together in about 4 hours. It will not take as long the second time around. I assembled the bedposts and headboard laying flat on the floor, and then the footboard. Next, standing the ends upright while holding, attached one bedrail. This made it sturdy enough to stand on its own. We finished the assembly in the middle of the room, as to get around to all the fasteners, and then slid gently into position.Study the picture, my gameplan was to assemble from the top down, this may seem awkward but it worked. I would recommend, but not at full price.
