Bench - Heirloom Cherry Hall Tree with Storage

I wanted a hall tree that my kids could hang their coats on and have somewher to put their backpacks when they come home from school. I was reluctant to order a piece of furniture over the internet because you can't see the item or feel how sturdy it is. I couldn't find anything locally that I liked so I decided to order this. I have not regretted it yet. The hall tree is beautiful and very sturdy. It is everything that I wanted. It looks so beautfull that I am not sure that I want my kids putting stuff in there and scratching it up :) It was hard to put together, the instructions are not real clear, I had to take it apart and start again a couple of times. It took me all day to put it together, but it is worth it. Very nice quality, very attractive design, very nice price. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a good quality hall tree.

The halltree was all that I hoped it would be.
It looks really nice in our entryway. The entry to
our house is basically a big open area consisting of both the living room and dining room. There isn't any place for us to put our things. So, we purchase this hall tree to provide a common place to put shoes and hang backpacks. It seems a little too decorative for this use, but with the area being so open, we needed something nice.
The only issue we had was with the instructions. For the most part, they were very straight forward and it was fairly easy for my husband and I to put together. We were able to complete the project in a couple of hours one night. However, please note that one of the pictures, describing how to construct the base, was actually backwards. So, we had to take the base apart and reconstruct it, so we could actually attach the top pieces.
No, this is not heirloom quality. However, we didn't pay anywhere near the price we would pay for an heirloom quality piece.

We put this in the entranceway to our new home. Fits the space perefctly and looks great as a focal point when coming in the front door.

A little heavy to put together by yourself, but it can be done with a little forethought and ingenuity.

The product was slightly damaged during shipping as internal pieces rubbed together. The hardware did not match up
100% with the instructions as well.

It does look nice assembled and the scuffs were easily touched up with a furniture pen.

I bought it because of the design and color that matches my furniture and style. I wish it had shoe storage instead or in addition to storage bench.

The directions for putting the hinges on the storage bench lid were not clear. Plus they were a little too stiff so we didn't use them. However now the lid on the bench does not stay open unless you physically hold it open.

This looks just like the product picture, so I am happy with the end result. The directions were not clear, and it definetely took two people to put it together. I was told "some assembly" required, I wasn't prepared for the entire thing to have to be assembled.
