Bought two one for each kid ages 4 and 7. Functional and excellent quality wood cherry and dark chocolate. The only issue I have is keeping the Futon mattress from sliding and making the top bunk, but that's an issue for anyone with a futon or a bunk bed, climbing to the top to add linens and keeping it neat is another. The bed and futon can be separated when the thrill of a bunk bed is gone.

This bed is fabulous quality - the thing I was most concerned about for the price. It is beautiful hardwood, heavy construction, and very well put together. All the pieces were beautiful, instructions easy to follow, all the tools and bolts, and hardware were included. A fabulous buy for the money!
