I ordered this set of barstools along with 2 other types to decide which one I wanted. This was the least expensive of the 3, and not surprising they were the least sturdy. Great for home use at a counter, but not so great if a lot of people are going to be sitting them, which is what I had planned for them. A good stool for the value, though.

Being a discretionary shopper always looking for the best of both worlds, i.e. quality/price, these stools far exceeded my expectations~~they simply look GREAT at our "high-end" kitchen island!! Combine that with pretty amazing construction, ease of assembly and try-to-beat-it pricing, and we are "blown away." We had looked for quite a while and did find stools we liked but just could not justify spending 4~5 times the $$$. Easy to assemble, too! Truly, we could not be more pleased.

These stools are a good value and very solid. We purchased these for video camera operators who need some back support and vertical adjustment. I've used one at my desk and it is comfortable and my back feels better than when I've spent hours in the big "comfy" leather chair. Easy to assemble and light to carry yet very stable. These stools came just in time for Christmas. We have a large gathering and they gave us the added seats that we needed around our kitchen counter. They don't take up a lot of space and since they are adjustable, some of our company even used them to sit in the living room. They are light weight but sturdy and can be moved around easily. I wasn't sure we were going to like them because of the low backs but they are very comfortable and spin easily. A great purchase and the price was right too.
