This humidor was all that I was told it would be. The fit and finish is very nice, especially for the price. It took me a few days to calibrate the hydrometer but all is perfect now. I would buy it again but my wife would kill me. I am certain that I will get many years use out of this.

Had never owned a humidor before this one. Did a lot of research into humidors before making a purchase checking out what is best as far as wood, size, style, humidifyer, etc, etc, etc. This humidor is very attrative (the photos don't do it justice). The lid does not slam shut, but instead closes on a pillow of air. Another sign of its quality of construction. Quit putting off that decesion. At this price it is an incredible type of quality. I can actualy say I was surprised at how high the quality was for the price. Somewhat uncommon in todays world. Well, quit reading, order it already.

Pros:
This humidor seems to be well-constructed and has a beautiful finish. The hinges on mine are stable and well-aligned; the seal is satisfactory (I'd prefer a little more "woosh" but I'm just picky). I had no problems seasoning the humidor and for the last month or so it has been holding around 70% humidity with around 30 cigars without a fuss.
Cons:
The hygrometer that comes with the unit is your basic spring-coil type. Mine was extremely difficult to calibrate; it seemed as if the the calibration screw was stuck or glued. I had to spin multiple revolutions to force the coil to expand or contract to the point of bending to calibrate. I don't think this is supposed to be how it works and I'm not sure that it will stay calibrated. All of this is to be expected with such a basic hygrometer; I mention it in this case only because the hygrometer is integrated into the humidor body. This means that if you want to upgrade to an electronic humi/hygro setup later, you may be stuck with an incorrect "decorative" hygro on your humidor. Something to think about.
Overall, this humidor performs its function and is aesthetically pleasing. I would buy it again.
