We bought two of these chairs to use on our large front porch. The folding design, with all the clever pockets and a small table attached, meant we could take them in at night easily. Generally we are very pleased with them because they fit our needs exactly. However, when my husband sat down the first time, one of the back supports broke off completely. He is not a large fellow, and he sat down gently, but the back support broke off just above the arm. It may have been damaged in shipping, as there was a large hole in the carton we didn't see initially. Our handyman was able to make a fine repair, but the wood seems rather porous and not that strong. The write-up stated they were oak, but the info in the box stated "pin oak" which is not the same wood at all. Fair warning: use them gently!
