General Cage was established in 1964 as a spin off of Monticello
Manufacturing, an Elwood, Indiana manufacturing company. Monticello
had been manufacturing a trash burner, made of a wire-mesh design
in a square, that one large customer had been selling as a cage to
hold puppies. With early identification of an opportunity the
company developed a plan and hired a sales force to sell into the
pet trade, which in those days was non-existent. The customer base
and product offerings have grown considerably since our early days
and we still maintain our founding commitment to customer
satisfaction and innovative products for the care of animals.

This is a wonderful product. It was very easy to assemble. My cats like to snooze on the shelves in the sun as well as play with all the attatchments. I would highly recommend this to our clients.
