My husband and I bought a pair of these a year and a half ago, and put them together with help from a friend. This was around the same time we were putting together $1500 worth of furniture from a certain Swedish retailer which shall remain nameless (which is a LOT of different pieces). Putting together even the most complex Swedish stuff was much easier than this; the directions included here were not as clear, the components weren't as well-labeled, the holes didn't line up as neatly, etc.
Directions are provided for lining up the drawer fronts after assembly, but even following those directions didn't make our drawers line up properly. You have to lift the top ones to slide the bottom ones back in, and one of the file drawers doesn't stay on it's track when you pull it out.
The desks look very nice when completed, but after about a year and a half of very light use, the finish is already peeling up at the edges.
They look nice when completed, but considering the rather high price tag, and the difficult assembly, ill-fitting drawers, and lack of durability, I would look elsewhere.
