Solid metal materials is what impressed me most when assembling the two beds we ordered. These things will last! Very intuitive assembly with common bolting connections that don't have you guessing if you're doing it right. The desktop required some material removal to fit flush over some weld joints and we received wood screws that were so long that they would have gone through the desktop if I hadn't inspected them first. Easy enough to find the right size. The shelf accessory won't hold a 20 gallon aquarium but is great for books and can hold a lot of clutter that would otherwise be elsewhere. The issue of bolts stripping concerns the main rails that are attached to the legs. A little too much torque and the bolts can strip the threads. Too small a diameter of bolt is the likely cause. The rails though are slotted into welded brackets on the legs so they aren't going anywhere regardless. Also discovered the desk/ladder orientation isn't flip-floppable for left hand/right hand configuration concerns. Look at the sales picture and visualize how it will orient in your room. Overall, my kids destroy everything they are given and these beds are standing strong. In fact, I'm ordering two more for the other two kids.

My daughter has Down Syndrome and uses her room alot. She wanted an office and when she saw this bed with a desk she was thrilled. It made her room seem twice as big and she loves sleeping up high. She is safe and loves having her own desk and room on her shelves for all her art supplies. Her friends are very impressed. I would definitely recommend this bed[...]

My 12 year old loves his new bed, and he will most likely be able to use it when hes in college. It's that durable.. Its heavy and beautiful... I'm so glad we bought this bed..

The loft bed is perfect for my teenage grandson, however, there were NO assembly instructions. Needless to say it has been difficult to assemble.

I would say I was mostly pleased with this product, I was able to put it together with some minimal help from my 11 year old daughter, and she loves it. I just wish it was a little more sturdy but she doesn't seem to mind.

My son absolutely loves his new 'grown-up' bed. He is getting older and wanted more room in his room so we decided on this bed and he says "it rocks". The only problem we have is that it can only be set up where the ladder is on the right side.

[...] there was some difficulty putting this item together. Some of the solder-points also do not appear as "clean" as they should be. The bed does "wobble" a bit and is noisy when my child is in it. He was very excited at first, but now because of the wobbling and noisiness he is sometimes afraid to sleep in it; however, he loves the desk portion underneath the bed.
