We love this chair in our store. we have a high checkout desk and this allows our employees to take a load off in between guests without looking like we're loafing. It works as an intermittent bottom rest. :)

We purchased one Drafting Laboratory Chair w Chrome Footrest as a trial for our bank tellers who sit behind high counters. The chair rotated through the bank so nine people, who need this type of chair, could try it out.The existing stools didn't have a footrest. It was impossible to sit comfortably in them unless you propped your feet on a box or shelf. The drafting laboratory chair's foot rest eliminated that challenge. The ease with which one can adjust the height also made it popular. The extra padding, adjustable seat depth and back rest elicited many positive comments and sighs of gratitude. We chose slate which nicely compliments the bank's existing colors and looks very professional. Our existing chairs had a steel based, so we were concerned about the durability of a chair with a nylon base. The heavy nylon may not have the endurance of steel. However, at a cost of [$] vs. [$] per chair if they last 3 years, we'll consider them a great bargain!All nine employees agreed that the Drafting Laboratory Chair w Chrome Footrest was comfortable. We ordered eight more.

This chair was purchased for lab techs to sit at the bench and not have their feet dangle. Really like the foot support. However concerned with lab material contaminating cushion. Would like to see it with vinyl option.
